This is not an instrument. Runway Remaining is an experimental, advisory, situational-awareness aid. It is not certified avionics, not a flight instrument, not an approved performance computer, and it has not been evaluated or approved by the FAA or any civil aviation authority. Nothing it displays is authoritative.
It does not replace pilotage. Its numbers are estimates derived from consumer-grade GPS and motion sensors, third-party public data and simplified models. Position, speed, distance, density altitude, ground roll, rotation speed and the acceleration gate may be wrong, stale, delayed or absent without warning. You remain solely responsible for your aircraft under 14 CFR 91.3, for obtaining and computing takeoff performance from your approved Aircraft Flight Manual or POH, and for every go/no-go, continue/abort and rejected-takeoff decision. Fly the aeroplane, look outside, and use your certified instruments.
No warranty. The software and all data are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, currency, completeness, availability, non-infringement, or fitness for aeronautical or safety-of-life use. Data may be out of date, incomplete or incorrect. The author does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall PreTakeoff.com, its owner, or their affiliates, licensors, contributors or data suppliers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any death, bodily injury, property damage, loss of aircraft, loss of certificate, regulatory action, loss of profits, loss of data, or any other loss whatsoever, arising out of or relating to the use of, reliance upon, or inability to use this software or its data, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This software is provided free of charge and no consideration is received for it; accordingly, the total aggregate liability of the parties above for any and all claims shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid for the use of this software, which is zero United States dollars (US$0.00).
Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless PreTakeoff.com, its owner, and their affiliates, licensors, contributors and data suppliers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, investigations, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, fines, penalties, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and expert fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of or reliance on this software or its data; (b) any flight operation, takeoff, rejected takeoff, accident, incident or excursion in which this software was used, consulted or installed; (c) your violation of these terms or of any law, regulation or airworthiness requirement; or (d) any claim brought by your passengers, crew, insurers, heirs, estate, or any third party in connection with the foregoing. This obligation survives your use of the software.
Assumption of risk and release. Aviation is inherently dangerous. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risk arising from your use of this software, and on behalf of yourself, your estate and your heirs you release and forever discharge the parties above from all claims relating to that use, including claims you do not now know or suspect to exist.
Acceptance. If you are not the pilot in command, are not qualified in the aircraft, or do not agree to every term above, decline and do not use this software. By continuing you confirm you have read, understood and accepted these terms, and that you will treat every figure shown as advisory only.
build.php into static JSON on this server — so search is instant and works with no signal. Weather comes from the FAA METAR feed through api/metar.php, cached server-side, falling back to the nearest reporting station. AirNav is not used: it serves no cross-origin headers and its terms prohibit scraping.
